Our Saturday started off pretty late... Maelie got up at 10 am! we decided to go shopping a bit since it was just so hot outside. We were much better in the air conditioning! Maelie of course found a few items she liked :)
After supper, we headed off to Lac Beauchamp to see Merveilles de Sable. After supper, the activities are closed, there are less people, and it's free parking. We just wanted to see the sand sculptures and spend time at the beach. It's not the nicest beach/water... but it's fun anyway!
Maelie posed in front of the sand sculptures. :)
So much detail in them! I am glad it didn't rain because it would have ruined all the hard work!
This one had fish from Finding Nemo on one side.
And the Little Mermaid on the other! So incredible when you look at all the work put into it! A regular statue you would get to keep, but a sand sculpture os for immediate enjoyment and them it will be destroyed!
and the last one....!
Ah... light at the end of the tunnel! She got to jump in the water.
Of course at Lack Beauchamp, Maelie HAS to hunt down some wildlife!
We could hear and see the frogs, but they were too fast for her - she didn't have her net this time!
Maelie did see a snake! Some kind of red and yellow snake she said. Unfortunately it swam away!
Here is a HUGE snail!
After the wildlife adventure, she decided to work on a sand creation of her own.
An awesome turtle!
With her signature of course! :)
Once we returned home, Maelie jumped in the pool to wash off the Lac Beauchamp swampy smell! LOL
and finally.... bedtime :)
Such a nice day spent together! We enjoyed it despite the heat and humidity!! (don't shoot me... but I am really looking forward to the fall and the cooler days and nights!)
