First off, Monday was a nice day to visit Little Ray's Reptile Zoo! It's been completely redone since the last time we visited... it was nice!
Naomie, Maelie and Wilyam were eager to hold everything! (well not so much the tarantula for Wilyam) but everything else!
They brought out a cute little Caiman. He was so tame he didn't even move much when the handler was holding him.
The kids got to pet a huge Python. I still can't believe how cold the python felt!
On Tuesday, I had to work so Sonia brought Maelie strawberry picking with them! I let her bring my camera along so I could feel like I was part of the activity!! I wonder what Tobi was telling Maelie in this picture. It looks very serious!
Hard at work!
Maelie played at Naomie's house all day and went to the movies! This is what the cuties looked like!
Wednesday, I took the afternoon off and we headed to Petrie Island! We took the boat across just for excitement :)
Unfortunately, we did not see any turtles this time around... but we did see a whole bunch of cute things!
Isn't nature so beautiful?
Naomie and Wilyam sitting on the rocks by the river...
Maelie and Naomie getting in the river.... the weather was actually not very warm ! Brrrrr... I can't believe they got in!
Maybe the water made them a little crazy!!
My little water girl!
They spent a long time working on their sandcastles
This was the result of all their hard work! They each did their part.
Little snack before we headed home!
Mother daughter moments! Naomie and Sonia were both posing and then burst out laughing. So adorable :)
On Friday, we got out of work early so I met up with Sonia, Naomie, Wilyam and Maelie at Lac Beauchamp for the first day of Merveilles de Sable. As usual they had the yellow chair out! So I insisted that Maelie try it.
The kids did all their fish and frog and tadpole catching before I got there so I didn't get pictures. They were in the water when I arrived. We had lunch and then tried out a few blow up structures. Here is Maelie bouncing down the slide!
It was a VERY hot day today and it was just too warm to just hang out in the sun!
The kids had to try out the paddleboat before we left though!
The sand sculptures were beautiful but there weren't as many as usual!
Here is the Bonhomme Carnaval! They weren't done working on the sculptures hence why there is a water bottle right in the display!
The people who made the sculptures did an amazing job! I am sure it wasn't easy to work on them today in above 30 heat!! As we waled by to admire their work, they were taking a break in the shade. What an amazing sculpture though!!
We came home and the kids jumped in the pool!! Maelie and I spent the rest of the day relaxing a bit.
First week of summer vacation is done....!! only 8 more weeks left!! :)
