Pumpkin muffins

This morning we decided to make some home made pumpkin muffins. Maelie LOVED them!!



This is where we got the recipe... Papercrafts Gourmet book. It was a 5 star recipe.

Maelie's alien & other news

Here is what I found on my couch yesterday... Maelie's alien and his troop of mice and Hexbugs!



I dropped by Buck or Two on Saturday and found these wall decorations... perfect just in time for Halloween!!



I wish I could cover all my wall with these spooky guys!! Time to get my Halloween curtains out. Time to put away anything that is not fall/Halloween related!! I LOVE this season!!!

girls day/night out

On Friday, I had a day off and spent the day out with friends. Running errands in the morning with Natalie and then running errands in the evening with Sonia! LOL It was fun!

I didn't take many pictures since I guess there is nothing much to take pictures of when running errands... but we did got out for supper at Montana's. Now is that not the perfect restaurant to take an exchange student to?

We stopped at LaSenza girl for Maelie and Naomie to get some underwear. Of course, they needed to get matching undies!! Now they call each other to know which one they will be wearing that day! Silly girls!

100 days

Nothing much to say today.... except that there are:

100 days until Christmas!!!!!

bowling & wrestling

It was quite the rainy day today so as an activity, I took Maelie bowling! That makes her EXTREMELY happy. Bowling starts next Saturday so she is extremely excited!!

As this was a lazy, rainy, labour day afternoon... this is what they were up to.

Hot air ballon chasing!

Maelie and I headed outside just after 7:30 this morning to see if we could spot the hot air balloons. It hasn't been very nice this long weekend for their flights, so many of them were cancelled. We at least have to see them fly ONCE in the whole weekend!

We were excited driving towards this view!!



We decided to keep on going to see where they landed. They all headed off to the Gatineau Airport! I couldn't help but take a picture of Nemo! Too bad he was so far out !



We did however track the landing of the colorful one.





Once it had landed, the crew let people get in (on the ground of course!). We had Peluche (whom we are dog sitting) with us so we stayed behind and just watched.



Maelie said this Lotto Max balloon was her favorite one! She has a goal of winning the lottery one day, so this is the BEST hot air balloon! LOL



Every year, we see the balloons take off, but we never actually see them all land! So this was really nice! I am so happy we ventured out that early!
