On Sunday evening, we had supper outside on the deck. Patrick and Sonia BBQed some chicken and beef. I had quiche - which was very delicious!
On the back deck, there is this crazy tree! it had little itty bitty flowers that fell all over our plates! Free seasoning!!
Monday, we packed up and had a pic nic at the park. The kids played on this merry go round spider web. In the pic below, you can see the little tiny boy, who was probably 3 or 4, pushing 6 bigger kids around!! He had quite the force!!
They also enjoyed some water games! It was really hot outside, but since we were by the river, the wind was a bit cool once the kids were wet!
Silly girls! Always having fun!!
Before coming back home, we stopped at the pier at RMC again. Maelie just loves to jump in the water!!
she jumped over and over and over.....!!
We left Kingston at about 4:30 pm to head back home. We got stuck in construction traffic. The construction workers on the Ontario side are not on strike like the Quebec ones!! Once we got closer to Ottawa on the 416, this is what we were surrounded with.... black clouds! It lasted about 3 minutes and then blue skies surrounded us for the rest of the trip home. It was a nice overnight trip, and we were also happy to be home! :)
Today, Sonia and family were taking Alina out for poutine. She is from Austria and of course... poutine is not an item on the menu out there. Here's a poutine from Lou's :
Wilyam was watching Alina as she took her first bite. I think he has his eye on her. Considering he only speaks french, and she speaks german and english, it's quite cute to see!
Maelie giving me *A LOOK* again. (why are you taking a pic of me eating mom????)
Eating poutine is just as important as visiting the parliament when you visit Canada for the first time!!
