I'll try to recap the last few weeks in a few pics and words!! This blog is a journal for me. When I forget what we did at a certain time, I just look back on my blog. Usually a week after, I've forgotten everything! That's my mom brain! :)
The week after Mother's Day, Naomie came over for a few days as her parents were out of town. She is totally able to stay home by herself at age 13, but it gets kinda boring! So it was a pleasure to have her over.
On Thursday evening, we went to Greta's Organic Gardens with Nicole. The girls were very entertained by the chickens. They didn't want to leave!
It was kinda hard to explain why the rooster would jump on the hens over and over. The hens of course did not look too happy.
In one area, Greta grown some aquatic plants. We found a little guest in that area!
She also has an artificial pond where the girls discovered the huge gold fish and coi fish.
I am sure they would have stayed at Greta's for a week if they could!
On the weekend, Grand-Maman came over. We introduced Naomie to yard saling that morning. When it got really hot, I thought we would stop by the school to visit the water games, but the girls ended up in the forest collecting snails instead!
They didn't find as many as usual, but that may be because it was only May.
It was SOOOO hot, even in the woods!
We ended up stopping by Lou's for a poutine. Yum!!
Once home, where did Maelie end up the minute we walked in? In the pool! of course!
Poor Naomie wanted to join her but she kept saying that even her bum was shivering!
Crazy Peluche thought it might be nice to sun tan in 30 degree weather!
Warming up after a cold swim....
For some reason there is a TON of static on the trampoline this year!
Saturday morning, Grand-maman was in heaven! I took out all of my Taste of Home magazines and she drooled her heart out over the recipes! LOL
Chef Maelie worked on pancakes for us... she is really getting awesome at following recipes!
By Sunday afternoon, we were back to our little quiet home with no company. Maeie had her bowling end of the year party. It was Halloween themed, so she decided to dress up as a prisoner. Since it was SO hot, we made sure the prisoner costume was weather friendly!
Here she is with fellow dressed up friend Melyna. Not many kids remembered, or even wanted to get dressed up so they were maybe a handful of kids in costume!
Maelie was REALLY happy with the plaques and trophees she won. She got highest average, highest triple and highest single for the year.
Ah the joyful memories!!
