More birthday celebrations!

Maelie started off her Sunday playing with Tristan with her Cake making set. I seriously think that the person who invented these sets does NOT have children!

They had a fun time!

Both of them did not really like the taste of their creations... but Tristan did say that at least it was a lot of fun to make!

Since Maelie only wanted her classmates at her party on Saturday, I had suggested to Natalie that we go out on Sunday for a game of bowling only with her family. Her little ones really really wanted to go bowling for Maelie's party. And for Maelie, ANY reason to go bowling is GREAT! She really really really wanted to beat Ryan! She decided to coach Myran a little bit showing him where his feet should be when he plays and how to throw the ball. It was so cute!

She had chosen an Oreo blizzard cake at DQ. Yum yum!!

Maelie was pleasantly surprised to find out she was getting more gifts! with BOWS on the package! (she LOVES bows but I always forget). Joy oh bliss when she found two of her most wanted toys LOL

Afterwards we came home and the kids playes while Natalie and I organized my kitchen cupboards!! I forgot to take a picture! I should have. It's not all done, but close!

Here is a cute picture that Merrick made for me in the window! That's me with the red shirt in the picture. He is such a sweet sensitive boy!

Thanks to Natalie's whole family for helping celebrate Maelie again! It was soooo much fun!!

I really think this will be the last birthday post! On to the next activities!

Maelie's Bowling Birthday Party

Maelie's day started off with bowling and ended with bowling!

This morning she got her "Bowler of the year" award! She is playing in a tournament next week for the provincials!

In the afternoon, she hung out with Tristan in hopes that time would fly by. Her party was at 4.

We headed out to the bowling alley at 3 to get everything ready. Here is the table where we were going to sit and have hot dog, fries and cake!

We set up Maelie's bowling toss game.

The 10 kids played one game. Maelie scored 247! She really wanted to impress everyone!

Of course we need the group picture!

We also need the silly group picture!

The kids were very thirsty and hungry after the game! We had awesome service!

Smile!!

Here was a little cupcake tower with bowling picks I found at Artistic cake & design in Ottawa.

Here is Maelie and her INCREDIBLE bowling cake made by Natalie!! (THANK YOU!!)

Maelie got the cutest card!!

She was showered with amazing gifts from her friends!! She was spoiled rotten again!

Once we were done, the kids played a bit of bowling toss again. I hope we didn't take over too much of the bowling place!

The kids each had a goodie bag on their way out with lots of things to discover!! I love every second when I prepare goodie bags! I love to spoil the kids!

I must add a few credits:

Thank you to my amazing amazing amazing friends Natalie and Maria!!! They spent the whole time there with me helping non stop! Looking back, I have no clue how I would have done it without them! Thanks ladies!!! You are awesome!

Natalie, thanks for the countless hours you spent with me for the invitations and the cake!!!

Thank you as well to Salon de Quilles le Carrefour in Gatineau. The owner Don is a wonderful generous man. He shows kindness and patience with the children. Diane who was making our meals and who is like the mother of the place. She is such a nice lady to Maelie and to all the kids!! You feel like you are part of her family. and a special thank you to Mathieu, who is a coach to Maelie but also stood in today when they were short staffed. He helped us with the meals and drinks and even took a few minutes to help Maelie out with her technique. That guy is SO kind, friendly, interesting and sweet! He is seriously amazing with the kids. I seriously could not ask for a better place to go with Maelie!

Maelie would like to buy the bowling alley. She is saving up her money! I told Don he may not get to retire until he is 200 yrs.

Thanks to everyone who helped Maelie's birthday be a success! I seriously don't think I could be surrounded with more caring people!!

Happy 8th Birthday My Sweet Maelie!!!

Maelie woke up to balloons and surprises! She had a smile glued on her face!

She was so impressed with her Signature Webkinz! She opened her gifts slowly, one by one just savouring them! I actually had to get her to open them up a bit faster since she had to get to school!

She tried out her presents along the way... these window writers are cool!

This is what my living room looked like AFTER!!

We picked Maelie up for lunch at school and headed to Cage aux sports with helium balloons in tow!

She had all of these choices for dessert! and what did SHE choose?? plain vanilla ice cream!! Not the one *I* would have chosen!!

We had a great time ! The staff at Cage aux sports sang Happy Birthday to Maelie.

Jo and the cousins Skyped us tonight and sang Happy Birthday to Maelie! They had their cupcakes with a number 8 candle.

So we hung up and had some cake too!

Maelie had a smile on her face ALL day today! Being 8 is wonderful already!!

We are also looking forward to her bday party this weekend at the bowling alley with her school friends!!

Maelie, I love you SO much!! I could not have asked for a more wonderful daughter!! You bring SO much joy to my life! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy Easter ! (in pictures)

We enjoyed our Easter weekend! It was hot and sunny! a bit cooler at my moms house, but pretty nice anyway :)

Maelie made sure she left notes in the window for the Eater bunny. It was a reminder that she doesn't like candy or chocolate !!

The Easter bunny visited us during the night and unfortunately, Maelie decided to hunt for the surprises at 3:30 am!! All the pics I have of the treats were taken in bed as I was NOT ready to get up!

We forgot to leave some carrots out for the Easter bunny... so I think he served himself!!

Maelie and grand-maman enjoyed taking pics of each other under my moms huge magnifying glass. Here are just a couple of their shots:

At my dads house, we finally met his cute little dog Meggie! She loved Maelie right away!!

At my moms, we had two little baby kittens to enjoy!! Aren't they SOOO cute??

Upon our return, we went over to Natalie's house to wish her happy birthday!! Happy Birthday Natalie!!

Now we are back home, and poor little Maelie has a sore throat! It started over the weekend and I just hope it's not an infection.... poor little thing is going to be 8 on Thursday... She better feel better!!
