First tiny bit of snow

Maelie was excited to look out the window and see this this morning!

She immediately ran to get her shoes and jacket to go out and touch it!

Hurray!!

She decided to jump on the trampoline a little since it wasn't frozen yet...

I am sure this white stuff will get old soon! and we will be wishing for spring...!

original sandwich

Maelie decided that her snack was going to be a toast, not popped. In this family, this means a piece of bread. She decided to try it with three toppings... a row of jam, a row of peanut butter and a row of cheese whiz.

Yum!!

Thanksgiving

Wow! how fast this weekend flew by!! I barely even remembered it was Thanksgiving! People is this province do not really celebrate Thanksgiving... so when everything is open for business as usual, it is hard to stop and remember that it is a holiday!

We had my mom and her friend Linda come over this weekend for a short visit.

We visited friends, and went shopping at Spirit (Halloween store). What an amazing store!!

We love this guy who crawls to grab you!

Maelie really likes when grand-maman joins her on the trampoline. Grand-maman thinks she is on there for a nap... well Maelie has other plans!!

Today all was back to normal. Our guests went home, I went to work, Maelie went to school. After school, Maelie headed off to Naomie's house. When I got there to pick her up... surprise surprise... she was going horseback riding!

Of course she got some help from Ingvild... we don't want her to get too too wild.

Here are Naomie and Maelie trotting along...

Of course, Maelie now wants a horse! Thanks Sonia!!

Halloween decor going up!!

I stopped at the "centre du party" yesterday to pick up helium balloons for the party we went to, but then i saw these!!! i fell in love with them immediately!! I hung them above my kitchen table. It looks AMAZING!!!

As every year, a must-have are the curtains i put up in my kitchen....

and the curtains i put up at my front door...

This year I added a witch on her broom flying up our stairs....

and a small haunted house on top of our computer desk.

It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween in here!! :)
I am definitely in the mood!!

Ingvild's suprise party!

Is there anything better than a surprise party? How about a surprise party for someone who has never had a surprise party before! Sonia invited us to Ingvild's surprise party, held at Maelie's bowling place. When Ingvild walked in, this is what she looked like !

I don't think she was able to take the smile off her face!! She hugged every guest. Sonia had invited some of her new school friends, so it was awesome that they were able to come!!

Maelie of course LOVES a party!! So here she is being silly!

The kids sat at the table to eat while the older kids just sat on stools or stood up. It was very casual.

Once we were done eating pizza, we played one game of bowling. Maelie enjoyed helping out everyone! I must admit though... she might get the "helping out" genes from me... but she surely doesn't get the awesomne bowler genes from me!! She beat me by quite a lot of points!

Happy birthday Ingvild!

Fall at Omega Park

Today we were off to Omega Park. We have been twice already this year, however we had never been during the fall! I wanted to see what it was like with the beautiful colors. Sonia, Naomie and Ingvild came with us. Ingvild had never been to a place like this before. I was amazed at how wuickly she got used to the slobber on her jeans!

I thought he was pretty cute, and part of the nice fall background!

The girls fed this little guy a LOT of carrots. He was so sweet and friendly!

We had a pic nic in the middle. It was a bit chilly for a while!

Naomie saw a beautiful Monarch butterfly. He didn't fly off... we think he may have been injured. Nature always takes care of itself...

We went on a ride to the farm.

Maelie tried to swing off a rope!

Harvest time! Isn't it so amazing? We are blessed beyond belief when we look at everything the earth provides us with!

Yes, this dude was closer than he appears...!

I love Omega Park! We had a wonderful time!

Byward Market express visit

Yesterday, Sonia, Maelie, Naomie and I headed off to Byward Market for a specific reason. We needed to go visit the Croc store. Maelie had grown out of hers and so I got her a new pair. They are pretty nice and they actually look like Converse shoes.

She really likes them! We added a couple Halloween decorations on them.

On our walk back to the car, I HAD to have the girls pose in front of cute little pumpkins.

We spent the rest of the day working on some Halloween chocolates. I LOVE making chocolates for special occasions!!! There is just something about rediscovering my molds year after year.... and adding a few new ones to my collection.
