AMAZING....

Yesterday, after work, Maelie and I headed out to the Buskerfest. I truly did not have expectations, but I knew it would be a nice entertaining time. Who knew it would be SO awesome?! Maelie was in awe the whole time we were there.

First off, as it is downtown Ottawa, parking is never easy. Fortunately though, after 5:30, the parking meters become non-paying... so we got the most perfect spot at 5:25 and waited until 5:30 to make sure we didn't get a ticket!

After that, we grabbed supper at Subway and then headed off to the shows, which were usually right at a closed intersection or on Sparks Street itself. It was not so busy at first, but as the evening rolled on, a LOT of people came out to watch the talent.

These guys below, Jacob and Sophie from Dream State Circus were my favorite. They were incredible, and we even got to see them twice.



Maelie also got to get a picture of herself with both Jacob and Sophie! She got to hold the torch too!





This one below was part of the Aerial Angels. They did a part on aerial silk where they would wrap themselves up in the long piece of fabric and do different moves. A few times you were sure they would end up on the pavement below! Breathtaking!

Afterwards she really wanted to make some moves too!



All events are free, but all entertainers do request a reasonable donation. They don't get paid to come here, so it only makes sense to give something to them.

It was an amazing evening!!
