9 is a wonderful number

On the eve of Maelie's birthday, we gave her a little gift. It was jammies with cupcakes on them!! SOOOOOO yummy looking!

Maelie was up at 4 am on her birthday!! That was way too early. She took it all in... all the decorations, the presents, everything!!

She patiently waited until 6 am to wake up the rest of the household!

She was very spoiled but appreciated every single present she got!

We then went and had some ice cream cake for breakfast!

She LOVED it!

She had more surprises hidden in these little cake slices!

She had to hunt for a few of the surprises as there were only clues hidden in the cake slices!

We picked up Maelie from school at lunch time. Unfortunately she was not feeling that great as she is coughing up a lung or two!!

We had planned on going to The Works for lunch to have grand papa and Lucie taste their YUMMY food!

Once home, after a bit of tylenol, she was able to play a little. She tried a little batch of Dippin' dots.

Maelie's friend Naomie made a beautiful picture for Maelie... It's so representative of their friendship!!

All in all it was a wonderful day!! She had a great time :) Lots of phone calls and e-mails!

We love you Maelie!! You are awesome year after year! You bring joy to our lives!

Tomorrow is Maelie's bday party with her friends... all is ready to go!

Maelie's new bike!

Maelie received some birthday money from Grandma and Auntie Cindy this past weekend. So since Maelie had issues with her old bike... mainly her knees almost reaching her forehead, she decided to get a new bike!

Thank you Grandma and Auntie Cindy!! She chose it and she LOVES it!! :)

Peluche the cutie

Life as a dog is sooooo tough!!

Peluche came over this weekend to craft with us. He was a little bit lazy though!!

He REALLY seemed to enjoy the sun!

Saturday he wore his little blue shirt. How cute!

Peluche is really adorable! I am at his beck and call. He knows how to get me to pet him ALL the time....!!

Friends & weekend

Maelie was on her bike this weekend since it was so nice and sunny!!

Naomie and Maelie spent a lot of time playing this weekend since Sonia and I were both working on Easter/birthday things for our girls. Both have an upcoming birthday!

The girls worked on making a whole big family out of modelling clay.

It actually kept them busy for hours!

We went to bed exceptionally late, but first thing this morning Maelie was playing with the clay again! She insisted I take pictures of what she built. Such a sweetheart!!

Making soap

The countdown is still on! Maelie cannot believe her birthday is coming up so soon!!

We worked on little reptile shaped soaps to add to the goodie bags for her party... I got a huge container of glycerine soap at Michaels as well as dye and scent bottles. Maelie chose vanilla.

Here is how the project turned out! How cute! Maelie really loved them and was really happy she could keep some for herself as well :) There's a turtle, a lizard and a crocodile. I just need to package them in cute bags now!

Silly girl

Maelie has her chalk board in the living room and we are counting down.... (sorry for the missing S in days... she corrected that now). If you count down correctly, you will notice that picture was taken a few days ago!

Maelie and Tristand played with the straws and connectors this week. I think their goal was to build something they could get inside of....!

Tristan built a robot. He did this two days in a row... the first day he had not figured out how to fit himself inside of it, but the second day, he had it all panned in his head! We can't see it very well due to the strong sun (who's complaining? hehe) picture courtesy of Maelie and her camera.

Now how do I get outta here??
