Tangled

Yesterday afternoon, Maelie and Tristan and I headed out to see the movie Tangled. I had a free coupon that I got with Airmiles a while back so I had to use it up before the end of the year.

Poor Tristan had a 20$ bill to spend and he lost it at Shoppers when we stopped to get some cough drops! How sad for him... Of course 20$ is not something people will hand over to the cashier if they find it! I just hope the person who found it is someone who needed it.

After our errand, we went to Silver City and stocked up on snacks. Before the room got packed, I took a pic of the kids.

It was a cute movie! We got out of there and it was really dark outside!

Today we are picking up Sonia at the train station as she is returning from a mini vacation in Toronto. I am also finishing Maelie's advent calendar since December 1st is this week!! Oh my! My goal is to post every single day in December once again. It's mainly to take the time and record what we are up to during the holiday season!

Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Finally! A tiny bit of snow! As soon as there is snow, Maelie runs outside to play!

She made up a few snowballs....

and then BAM! Gotcha!

frosty weekend :)

Maelie had a play date on Saturday at Xavier's house after bowling. I was able to almost finish my Christmas errands. Hurray!

Sunday Naomie came over to spend the day with Maelie. I was able to work on moving my kitchen around, and the girls had a great time.

I got the ingredients for them to make slime. They were so excited.

Here is one of the bright colors they chose to make!

Maelie Chose a bright blue. It matched her shirt.

They used straws and blew bubbles in their slime.

As long as they didn't suck it in it was ok!

I loved this color combination!

After their hard work with the slime, Jacinthe dropped by with Amelie. Amelie stayed to play for a bit. The girls jumped outside on the trampoline in the cold, threw a bit of ice all over the place, and then came back inside to warm up.

Here are the two sweethearts:

If there is one thing I learn from Naomie is to live each day to the fullest!!

O' Christmas tree....

Maelie was sooooo looking forward to putting up our tree. I made sure I washed the floors thoroughly yesterday in preparation for the holiday decorations.

Many years ago I got Maelie 2 Little People Christmas sets. I take them out every Christmas. She said "Mom, may I set up my village now?" I thought it was so sweet... :)

Here is our tree full of memories once again... :) Year after year I remember how we got every single ornament....

'Tis the beginning of the holidays...

Slimey Goo

I spent all day cleaning my floors in the house....

But I couldn't help letting the kids make slimey goo! It just made them SO happy!!

I can just wash the floors again another day.... :) A child's smile is MUCH better than a shiny floor!

Trick or treating....

For trick or treating this year, we headed off to Natalie's neighborhood. I have never seen SO many trick or treaters all at once! I guess being a quiet street, people might feel safer. Here is our group all ready to go!

We wandered around for a bit, and some houses were actually completely out of candy by 6:30! I guess they didn't expect that many people! Some of Sonia's friends had turned their garage into a haunted house and it was awesome! Maelie posed with their witch. They seriously had gone all out!

Going through the loot once we got back home:

You wouldn't think by looking at how excited she is that she actually doesn't like most candies! LOL All she ate was a mini bag of doritos and a small Aero bar. She didn't actually feel like eating anything else for the moment!

Another Halloween has passed. It's very exciting to get ready for it, and then you realize it's over, so your child will be a year older the next time around! It's going by way too fast!
