The day finally came! After weeks of preparation, the Halloween party was here!! Here is my kitchen area all ready for the hungry kids!

Here are the cupcakes

and just a few trays of food. I can't believe I didn't take a close up of every dish I had prepared!! I guess I was busy!

Maelie couldn't wait for her friends to arrive. When they finally were all here, I took a group picture as usual:

We started off with a few games. The first game, they had to put vaseline on their chin and try to pick up as many little spiders and flies without using their hands. It was pretty funny!

Next, I had a bunch of cans and they had to try and throw the eyeballs inside the cans. The eyeballs were very very light so it was really hard to get them to stay in!

After this game, we sat down to eat! The kids all loved the food on the table!

This is the Creepy crawly salad I made. I kept it plain in case some kids didn't like having things in it. It was surprisingly a big hit! The kids who are usually the pickier eaters ate the most!

Maelie adored it!

After supper, we played the left - right game. The kids sat in a circle and i gave a gift to one person. When I read the story, every time i said RIGHT the present had to go to the right and any time i said LEFT, the present had to go to the left. The last person with the gift got to open it! Inside were 12 test tubes with magic powder for a magic potion.

We went back to the kitchen table and followed the recipe to make the potion!! Turns out it was SLIME! The kids LOVED it. Only two of the kids didn't actually touch it. They stirred it with a spoon and I tranferred it to their sealed container to take home.

It was really awesome seeing them stretch it so much and have a blast!

After the goo, we headed off downstairs for the pinata! Year after year they are getting stronger! So just keeping the pinata on the string is hard!

Some of the kids played with some gooey eyeballs. After the pinata the kids spread out a bit between rooms in the house so it was not too jam packed.

So now that the party was over .... this is what we found outside!!

What a better way to celebrate Halloween than with snow and hot chocolate!!
