the boob shirt

This morning Maelie put on her new shirt. She then admired herself in the mirror and said "Mom, I really love this shirt on me. It makes my boobs look bigger!"

Life in pictures

Before my sister starts sending me hate mail for not updating my blog, I figure I would post a bunch of pictures to recap our last week.

So much love in my life :)

a rather busy return!

Once back from Jo's house, everything was planned. I wanted to get things ready for our Valentine workshop on the Saturday. However Friday afternoon, we stopped by the bowling place so that Maelie could play the games she missed while away. Turns out she had to play them ahead of time because the stats had already been sent to YBC.

Anyway, all this to say that I let Maelie play a game anyway. just for fun. Well at one point she tripped, fell, and the bowling ball landed right on her fingers!! At first I didn't realize how bad it was and I thought she must be exagerating... UNTIL 2 fingers doubled in size and turned blue!

We went to CHEO (children's hospital) just to make sure there were no fractures. After a 5 hour wait, we went home and all was clear!!
By the time we got home, it was looking a bit better. But still super swollen and blue. After 2 days she can bend her fingers but tries not to use them too much.

This picture does not even look as bad as in real life. (the flash washed out the blue!)

The knuckle it the part that is mainly swollen, so it is hard to see here. I would have to take a pic sideways.

On Saturday morning, I then had to catch up on everything I had not completed the night before for the workshop (with less than 5 hours of sleep). We had a wonderful successful workshop! Everyone had a lot of fun.

In the midst of all of this, I also had my eyes opened to selfish behaviour in a friendship of mine. That always takes its toll on the emotions! But I have more clarity now... it really shows you who are your real friends.

a recap of the last few weeks

The morning of our travels, Maelie had a bowling tournament. Her team placed 6 out of 8... Maelie did score above her average, but not everyone did... so the score wasn't high enough. It was a cute experience though!!

Here is the team with the 2 coaches

We hopped on our first train in Ottawa and headed off to Montreal. In the train to Moncton, we had a cabin for 2. It was so cute because everything was so tiny!! We were both giddy with excitement.

We enjoy heading off to the dining cart for an outing on the train. It was actually the same staff from this summer!

Here is a cute little train station along the way. I am not sure if it is used for something else or just that.

After two days in PEI, we were walking on grass in our shoes!! Silly me did not take a picture of that!! What happened?? a snowstorm! All this... all in one day!!

The good thing about all that snow is that Lucas had snowboarding lessons on the Saturday. Jo had the idea of registering Maelie for a private ski lesson! Now Maelie has decided she LOVES skiing!

Here is a picture of all the cousins together.

Here is a picture of Zack! with a bit of static on the ears might I add!!

A rare pic of Maelie and her aunt Jo!

An even MORE rare picture of Maelie and her mama! On our way home, our cabin was a cabin for 1!! We laughed SOOOOO hard when we saw the size of it!

Once we home home, we celebrated Daddy's bday! He spent his bday all alone so Maelie was in a hurry to celebrate! I think Daddy was happy to have his baby back!

My apologies for the delay in getting this post up!! we had a few technical difficulties which I will mention in the next post!
