Pumpkins Galore!

Yesterday, after we got home from our weekend away, Maelie decided that THIS was the right moment to get a pumpkin. I was secretly looking forward to it myself, so off we went to IGA to choose a few. She was ECSTATIC when I told her she could pic 3 bigger ones and 4 mini ones.

Once we got home, she started cleaning them. They were full of mud, so she cleaned while I prepared supper. It kept her busy for quite a while!





After supper, she set up some craft material and decorated them all! She then insisted that the pumpkins pose for the camera.



At one point, she said "Look mom, do you like the pumpkins with the sticks I used?" My heart almost stopped! (slight exaggeration) She had opened up the apple tree stciks I bought that day for our chinchillas that cost 3.79 a small bag!! Oh well, perhaps I can recycle them after Halloween ? A bit of hot glue never killed anyone. hehe just kidding.
