Halloween get together

Yesterday, we had our first Hallowen get together of the season. When I have a party for Maelie, I tend to divide it in two: French and English. I find that it is too difficult to translate the party as we go along... and it's not always comfortable for those who don't understand.

So yesterday, I spent all day cleaning and baking. Our house is not always spotless, so I had to at least make it organized and presentable. I didn't have one minute to spare!

Once the kids arrived, they played a little and I finished preparing the supper. They sat down and ate worms, worm salad, ghosts, caramel apples, brains, bones, witch broomsticks, a veggie skeleton, etc! I liked the little assortment! I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of some of the items!!

After the meal, the kids played a little "search" game to get some prizes. They then got to decorate pumpkin cookies. The sky's the limit with their imagination!

Maelie got a little carried away with her imagination!

We did end up having a wonderful time with friends. Now I had to get up and start it all over again for tonight with Maelie's classmates!

Looks fun! Everything, especially the chocolate, looks yummie! You always make the best chocolate. I don't know how you find the time to do so much with Maelie. You are a good mommy. If I every come back as a kid, well I want you to be my mom lol! Assuming one believes in reincarnation that is. Not sure what I believe but I know this life time has taught me a lot.
